9.01The owner or manager of a repair shop or motor vehicle repair shop shall keep written records of all repairs made to the bodywork, hood, radiator, fenders, step or wheels of a motor vehicle, indicating the make and type of motor vehicle, their permit number, the name of the person carrying out the repairs to be carried out. the nature of the repairs and the date on which the repairs are made and must, at the request of a peace officer, provide the peace officer with complete information on the repairs made; and in the case of motor vehicles on which marks are found that show or resemble in any way the appearance of bullet marks or blood stains, the owner or manager must immediately notify the appropriate officer of the nearest provincial or municipal police office who respects them. 1. License plate covers Owners should remember that license plates must be visible, so it is illegal to cover license plates with plastic covers, especially tinted ones that limit the visibility of the license plate.
KELOWNA – Before you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to modify your car or truck, you should check to see if what you`re doing is legal. „Before making any changes to your vehicle, make sure the modifications are legal so you don`t waste your money on something you just need to change,“ Const. Kris Clark says in a press release. Are chimneys illegal? No! But you`ll probably never be bothered because you have them. According to the DOT, a modified exhaust is not legal in any state. (You can`t even go to an aftermarket silencer without breaking the law.) While there are no standards for noise levels, there are some standard laws that apply to all cars in all states and places: It`s illegal to try to modify your existing muffler to make your car noisier. It is illegal to drive a car that has no kind of silencer. The RCMP is seeing more and more illegal vehicle modifications and police are concerned about safety. Air — The air pressure should increase from 350 to 600 kPa in up to 3 minutes when the engine is running at high speed.
Motorcycles — The seat of a motorcycle must be securely attached to the vehicle and the seat locking device, if present, must be functional. A horn must not produce musical or other sound that is not normally associated with a horn.
